I mentioned yesterday that we did arts & crafts projects at the deafblind conference on Saturday. I painted one of those clay gardening things. For the sight-impaired, it’s sort of a clay plate which I painted metallic sapphire; to it, I glued a canoe and an owl, both of which I painted nutmeg brown. Using a lollipop stick, I attempted to scratch ‘Lake Murray’ with ivory paint beneath the canoe, but there wasn’t enough room. I used that same stick to paint the owl’s eyes ivory.
